This is Oliver

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism was developed to address a critical need - ensuring that health and social care staff receive the right training to support individuals with a learning disability and autistic people.

Named in memory of Oliver McGowan, whose tragic passing highlighted gaps in understanding and awareness. The Health and Care Act 2022 has made it a statutory requirement that all CQC-registered health and social care providers must ensure their staff receive learning disability and autism training appropriate to their role.

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is now mandated by the Oliver McGowan Draft Code of Practice and is designed to help organisations meet the statutory requirements for learning disability and autism training under the Health and Care Act 2022.
